Red River Waste begins transition to CNG in Iowa
- Red River Waste Solutions LP, headquarted in Austin, TX, announced the addition of a compressed natural gas (CNG) truck to its waste fleet in Council Bluffs, IA.
- By 2016, the company plans to transition nine more CNG vehicles to its fleet in the area.
- Red River is scrutinizing all of its operations, including information it garners from the use of the new fleet, in order to consider adding more CNG vehicles to its fleet at some point down the road.
Red River Waste, a privately-held hauler, has been in operation since 1953, and serviced the Council Bluffs area since 2008. The company offers waste and recycling pick-up for residential and commercial customers in eight states, including Texas, Louisiana, Kentucky, and Iowa.
