A New Environmental Partnership in Hardin County

August 21, 2014 (Elizabethtown, KY)
For Immediate Release

Citizens of Hardin County, on August 12, 2014 the Fiscal Court unanimously awarded Red River Waste Solutions LP a three (3) year contract to provide solid waste collection services to all residential customers in the unincorporated boundaries of Hardin County. We are extremely excited about our new environmental partnership with the community and we look forward to implementing a countywide collection service that will begin Wednesday, October 1 2014.

We wanted to make a brief introduction about our company, the change in service and to clear the air so to speak.

It seems that some misinformation has come forth and we would like to set the record straight. For those that do not know, Red River’s family of companies has been providing local solid waste collection and landfill management services to Fort Knox for well over 20 years. We have and will continue to employ a local workforce that is solely dedicated to serving the community and residents of Hardin County. Red River is a third generation family company who has stood the test of time in a highly competitive industry. Having employed a local workforce and from purchasing local goods and services for many years in Hardin County we feel extremely fortunate and well positioned to establish a new service offering to the community.

As you can see, we are a local business and we have been providing waste collection services to the brave men and women who serve in our armed forces and who live and work at Fort Knox. We want the community to know our local history so that you can avoid the drama and propaganda that jobs will be lost, it’s quite the opposite.

We are offering the existing workforce who provides the waste collection service in Hardin County the first right of refusal to join our team. Our Red River family looks forward to offering you and your family a new career with a family company that has over 60 years of service in the waste management industry. Red River will provide new corner offices for our drivers through the use of a brand new fleet of air conditioned collection trucks, above average wages, health and dental insurance, life insurance and a matching 401K. Furthermore, our working environment will be very positive and we will allow you the opportunity to grow with our company without the pressure of losing your job because someday you may have to consider working for another company. Come join our team….

Moving forward, we envision a seamless transition of service providers, but we know we will experience bumps in the road ahead during this service transition. We ask for your patience during the transition from a long standing service provider to Red River, we look forward to learning more about the community and the special needs of the communities’ solid waste collection needs and expectations.

Red River will also be offering a 96 gallon cart rental program to be an added service convenience to the customers of Hardin County. Please contact Hardin Billing Service at (270) 735-9953 to elect to maintain your cart service with a Red River cart or to become a new County cart customer. We need a list of customers who want carts to allow us the flexibility to order and have the carts delivered on time.

We assume that your current service provider will collect all of the existing carts in service prior to October 1st to allow for our new carts to be placed into service upon request. In addition, we understand that the County has a service exemption for residential accounts that have a business operated from their residence using dumpsters; we will also be offering a dumpster service for these customers. Please contact Red River at (502) 942-9511 to request a competitive price quote for this dumpster service.

Our company firmly believes in a high level of customer service and accountability, to help us achieve these objectives we work exclusively from a work order process for quality control purposes. That being said, all customer requests are to be made with the Hardin Billing Service or directly with Red River which will trigger a work order for Red River to review and complete each service request in a timely manner. The work order system provides us the paper trail to make sure all service requests are documented and completed to the customer’s satisfaction.
